Refugee Health Screening
Refugees newly arriving to Allen County are eligible for a number of initial health screenings, and are generally scheduled with assistance from partnering agencies.
The Department's medical staff will provide health history assessments, diagnostic tests, tuberculosis evaluations and screenings for other communicable disease of public health significance. Any recommended vaccinations can also be provided. Assessments for mental health and social service needs are also performed with referrals to outside providers made when necessary for further evaluation, treatment and follow-up.
